Hayward Groundspread

What started out as a suggestion from his father to get truck driving out of his system turned into a career opportunity for Robert Hayward.

Known to everybody, except his mother, as Bob, Robert Hayward began driving for Wealleans in 1987. After a short stint driving spreaders in Nelson, Bob returned to Wealleans in 1994 purchasing his own truck and setting up Hayward Groundspread in conjunction with three trucks Wealleans already operated servicing the Arapuni / South Waikato area.

Based at the site of Wealleans’s Arapuni Bulk storage facility on the banks of the Waikato River, Hayward Groundspread's area of operation extends upstream through Putaruru to Tokoroa, down stream through Horohoro towards Cambridge, and west into the rolling hills of Pukeatua and Arohena.

A modern fleet of specialised ground spreading vehicles is backed by the Wealleans Group’s fleet allowing Hayward Groundspread to maintain a close relationship with the local communities it services from its central operations base.

Tracmap, GPS proof of placement, fitted in our fleet of trucks.
